Leadership Academy

The purpose of the Leadership Academy awards program is to recognize and acknowledge the leadership skills attained by PTA leaders throughout all levels of the association; to build a pool of trained leaders for advancement in the association; and, to provide for peer recognition of the commitment of volunteer time it takes to achieve leadership status in the association.

The Academy shall consist of four (4) levels of recognition:  

  • Bronze -- Pin & Certificate
  • Silver -- Pin & Certificate         
  • Gold -- Pin & Certificate
  • Crystal -- Pin & Plaque

Leadership achievement shall be accomplished through:

  • Election and/or appointment to leadership positions at the local, council, regional and State PTA levels.
  • Attendance at specified statewide conferences.
  • Attendance at specified leadership education workshops.
  • Other specified activities.

Point values are detailed on the application form. Points shall be determined annually.  An applicant is entitled to all points earned in a year, even if those points duplicate points earned in another year.
