Director's Message
Dear PTA
Leaders:
I hope you are all enjoying some well deserved time off.
I cannot believe it is already mid-July!
There is always something going on in the PTA world
that’s for sure.
Your Region 3 team is in full swing planning our
fall training, PTA & the Law and a special training for treasurers:
a 990 filing training.
Speaking of the
fall training – we are holding our fall training on August 23rd
at Maple Grove
School in Battle
Ground.
The registration form is attached to this newsletter.
If you are wondering why we plan our fall trainings
for a Saturday we do that so we can have more representation from the State
Board.
It is a long drive for most of them so Saturday’s work
best for them to travel to our area.
We want to provide more options for you and that
takes time too, so trying to do it in an evening just would not provide enough
time in one evening to make it feasible.
This year we are offering basic
classes for those who may be new to the Board and also some more advanced
classes for those who have been to training in the past and are wanting more
in-depth training.
For a small fee to your PTA
you can bring as many members as you want, board members, chairs, general
members, anyone interested in learning more.
We are really looking forward to seeing everyone again.
It is our hope that you will bring as many of your
board members, chairs, and general members as you can.
The PTA that brings the most members will receive a
free PTA and the Law registration for their PTA.
Last year Pleasant Valley PTSA won with 7
attendees, who will beat their number this year?
