Dear Washington State PTA member,
Right now, we need your voice more than ever as our Washington state legislature grapples with funding choices. We know this year is like no other and we need you to speak up. Legislators often comment that they don’t hear enough from parents – you can change that.
Please take a few minutes to advocate for kids – ask legislators to preserve this school year’s funding and make no mid-year cuts, and to prioritize new revenues and federal stimulus funding for early learning, higher education and programs that help students who struggled the most under this pandemic.
We are asking you to contact your legislators and add your personal request or story into the accompanying message provided in the Action Network link. Legislators have told us that repeating the same message is not effective, but hearing your personal touch makes a huge impact.
Click here to participate through the Action Network. Please share this message with members of your community and encourage them to write their legislators too.
Visit our website for more information on WSPTA’s legislative priorities. If you would like to receive WSPTA Action Alerts directly, please sign up for the Action Network here.
Thank you for advocating for the 1.1 million students of Washington giving them the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
Sherry Rudolph, WSPTA Advocacy Director
