On behalf of the WSPTA Programs Committee we are excited to announce updates and improvements to all Awards of Excellence for the 2024-25 year. We also are excited to announce that we have built a new Diversity, Inclusion and Outreach Award. If you are considering applying for an award this year, we highly recommend downloading award instructions and judging criteria (found on this page) early in the school year. The due date for Awards of Excellence applications is March 13, 2025.
Applying for a WSPTA Award of Excellence is easy, however, it takes some time to get organized. Look at all the awards, decide the one or ones you want to apply for, and gather all the information needed to apply.

- Newsletter
- Website
- Communication
- Family and Community Engagement
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach
- Advocacy
- Standards of Excellence.

Tips for applying for a WSPTA Award of Excellence:
- Decide early what awards your PTA will be applying for.
- Review award application and judging rubrics.
- Ask questions early.
- Assign an awards person!
- Assign each part of the award to the appropriate PTA person with a deadline.
- Build a timeline.
- Build a folder and start saving items you will need to apply.
- Take a lot of pictures.
- Write narratives early, this will save you time when uploading items.
- Make sure your items are branded with “PTA”
