Region 1 Training: Money Matters
December 12, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Training
This training will cover shared fiduciary responsibility, officer responsibilities, basic financial management, legal requirements, and missing money.
Money Matters provides guidelines for responsible fiscal management of local PTAs and councils. This training will help board members develop a basic understanding of the procedures and processes which should be in place to help assure the proper, prudent, and diligent management of the PTA’s financial resources. The entire board of directors, not just the treasurer, is responsible for the financial well-being of the PTA.
The training and handbook should be used in conjunction with other WSPTA publications, including Treasurer’s Handbook, PTA & the Law, and Washington State PTA Uniform Bylaws.
Washington State PTA strives to assure that all meetings and other activities of the Association are available for participation by all of its members, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and the Washington State Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60).
Individuals requiring special accommodations to attend or participate in WSPTA meetings are requested to contact the office in advance: (253) 214-7410 or email.
