Legislative Assembly
We recognize that the venue location was difficult for many because of SPU’s stance on LGBTQ+ issues.
WSPTA strives to create safe space, advocate for, and respect the uniqueness of all students, families, communities and schools so that historically underserved feel invited, welcomed and able to participate.
We are constantly learning and growing and sometimes we don’t get it right. We regret that we missed this issue with SPU and will do better next time.
The legislative platform that we developed allows us to do the critical work to advocate for all children and youth in Washington for the next 2 years.
We want to thank you for joining us for the 46th annual Legislative Assembly this past weekend – our community and voices are stronger together.
WSPTA is closing the Whova app at noon on November 4, at which time access to the recordings and resources will no longer be available. Slides from both of Saturday’s panels were added to the Resources in Whova.
We hope you enjoyed this event and have found the resources helpful. Visit the advocacy webpage for updated legislative priorities next week.
Lastly, be sure to add these two webinars to your calendar:

Happy advocating!
