Dear Members,
What a contrast a month makes. Spring seemed to hit like a brick this month with temperatures in Western Washington jumping from the 40s to over 70 within a week. It has been a great opportunity to spend time in the yard, cleaning up the mess left by the winter storms, and pulling weeds from between the crocuses. The daffodils are in bloom and the tulips are not far behind.
We are entering the final stretch of the school year. For you, as parents, that means the coming of summer and all the changes it will bring. At the office we focus rather intently on memberships and renewals. Our membership count is not final until the last day of the membership year, and we are working hard to exceed last year’s membership numbers. With your help, we know we can do it!
The burgeoning of spring brings to mind our Annual Convention. Just as a lush flower bed is proof of months and years of work, so too is a successful Convention. Our volunteer leaders have been preparing for the 2019 Convention since the end of the 2018 Convention. Thousands of volunteer hours and hundreds of staff hours are required to prepare for this annual event. Together we have created a fertile garden. It is up to you, dear member, to join us and bloom.
