Dear Members,
Wow – what a month! The 2019-2020 Strategic Plan Listening Tour got off to a great start in September. I was absolutely delighted to participate in four region conference and hold Listening Tour sessions. So far I have met so many members and heard so many stories. Some stories were heartbreaking and others heartwarming. The work you do as PTA members and leaders is astounding. I have nine more regions to visit. I am looking forward to each one.
Meanwhile, planning for the 2019 Legislative Assembly proceeds apace. The amount of planning, organization, and volunteer hours that is going into this event is mind-boggling. This will be my first Legislative Assembly. We have such an incredibly sound and thorough deliberative process in place for considering our legislative principles, issues, and resolutions. I am really looking forward to seeing grassroots democracy in action.
I am glad to report that we are well past halfway in implementing memberplanet at local and council PTAs. Occasionally, I have been the first to pick up the phone and have talked to members who have called our office with questions. Their cheerful, can-do approach to this big change has been greatly appreciated. We are still working hard with memberplanet to customize the database to best suit you and your needs.
