Overview
During the 2024 National PTA Virtual Convention, the voting body approved a $1 increase in the National PTA dues rate as proposed by the National PTA Board of Directors. Effective July 1, 2025, the new National PTA dues portion will be $3.25 per member. This includes any membership sold for FY2026 before July 1, 2025.
For all PTA memberships sold for membership year 2025-2026, please collect dues based on the new National PTA dues rate of $3.25.

- Providing parent voice to the White House, Administration and Congress
- Coordinating federal policy and legislative advocacy
- Developing programmatic resources to address families’ needs
- Training and developing resources for all volunteer leaders
- Securing millions of dollars in grants to local, council, region, district and state PTAs
- Providing PTA signature opportunities like the Reflections and School of Excellence programs
- Facilitating national events like LegCon and Annual Convention
- Promoting and defending the PTA brand
Effective Date
- The effective date of the dues increase is July 1, 2025.
- PTAs should begin planning well in advance of the effective date to ensure a smooth transition.
Membership Dues
- The annual portion of National PTA dues per member will change from $2.25 to $3.25.
- PTA dues are some of the lowest in comparison to other national organizations.
- The last dues adjustment was a $0.50 increase 13 years ago. The $2.25 dues rate is now valued at $1.64 in today’s market, which is a 27% decrease since 2011.
