Tip of the Week – July 21

Utilize the Resources and Support Available to Your PTA

As your board of directors starts planning for the new school year, we would like to remind you of the support available to you as an affiliated PTA with Washington State PTA.

Region directors are volunteer leaders appointed to the position to represent local PTAs and councils in each region. Region directors and their teams plan and organize opportunities for leadership development for the local PTAs and councils, coordinate the delivery of the association’s programs and services within their region, and are a valuable resource to assist local PTAs and councils with PTA-related issues. WSPTA provides training and support for region directors throughout the year.

In case you didn’t know, the first number in your PTA number refers to the region you reside in. For example, if your PTA number is 1.2.3, your PTA falls within the boundaries of Region 1. To learn more about the regions, who is serving as your region director, and how to contact them, check out the region pages.
