Standing Rules – One Of The Best Tools For Helping Your PTA Be Successful
When was the last time you updated the standing rules for your PTA?
This is an important task for any board of directors and will help everyone understand their duties and limits a little bit better. Reviewing the standing rules is also a great transition tool for a new board to make sure everyone understands the rules established for your PTA including references to separate policies that your PTA may be governed by such as a money handling policy or communications policy.
After the board reviews, then you will need to share any recommendations for updating the document with your membership as only the membership has the authority to vote and make changes.
