4 Reasons Why Recognition is Important
- Awards of Excellence. You have put such hard work into the communications, programs, meetings, etc. for your PTA. Some PTAs are still struggling. By applying for one of these awards, you are sharing your lessons learned, programs that work, ways to conduct business, and so much more. Applying for these awards actually helps to pay it forward to other PTAs who can learn from you. We are one PTA, stronger when united.
- Membership Awards. These awards are something of which to be proud. They show that the leadership of your PTA has truly made an impact in communicating to your community the legacy and power of belonging to the PTA and becoming a part of something larger than themselves.
- Individual Awards. There are amazing people and groups that go above and beyond in their volunteer work. A typical trait is that the work that they do is not done to receive recognition but because it is the right thing to do. It is all of our jobs to make sure that we find such people and share our appreciation for their selfless giving.
- Leadership Service Award. This is your time to stand up and let others know the specific work you have done to improve your leadership skills.
